Why Dimarjan Exists

The planet is running out of room for our mess. Worst part? The people hit hardest didn't create it. We think that's wrong. So instead of just planting trees and calling it a day, we make sure every carbon credit builds real infrastructure for the rural communities who need it most.

The Challenge

Climate action needs more than carbon credits on a spreadsheet.

Good intentions are not enough. People, buyers, communities, regulators want to know what actually changed, who genuinely benefited, and whether it will last.

Dimarjan builds high-integrity carbon removal projects verified from soil to satellite, with the transparency and track record to back every claim we make fully aligned with the United Nations SDGs.

People

When communities own the outcome, the outcome lasts.

People

When communities own the outcome, the outcome lasts.

01

Fair Value & Local Ownership

We operate through cooperative profit-sharing — value stays with the people doing the work, not extracted from them. This isn't charity. It's a model where local communities are partners with a real stake in every tree planted and every credit sold.

02

Real Jobs & Stable Income

Agroforestry creates meaningful employment across planting, maintenance and land management — work that lasts beyond the project. These aren't temporary gigs. They're careers built around land that communities have managed for generations.

03

Access to Markets, Not Just Aid

We help communities build sustainable agriculture practices that open doors to broader markets and long-term self-sufficiency. Because the goal was never dependency — it's building the skills, networks and infrastructure to thrive independently.

04

Income That Compounds

Farmers earn directly from crops and trees — multiple income streams that grow alongside the land. Over time, that means more food security, more financial resilience, and more choices for the next generation.

01

High-Impact Carbon Removal at scale

Our citrus-based agroforestry absorbsa little over 4,000kg of CO2 every single day, roughly 1,500 ton CO2 each year. That's not a projection or a model. That's what's happening right now, measured and recorded.

02

Stronger Ecosystem

Diverse planting improves water retention, rebuilds soil health, and creates landscapes that can withstand climate stress. Healthier ecosystems don't just absorb carbon — they protect the communities and wildlife that depend on them.

03

Land Restoration & Biodiversity Recovery

Degraded land becomes productive — supporting biodiversity, food security, and communities at the same time. Restoration isn't just an environmental win. It's an economic one, returning land to the people who need it most.

04

Verified & Transparent Carbon Monitoring

Every credit is backed by satellite monitoring and on-the-ground measurement. You know exactly what you're buying. No estimates, no assumptions — just transparent data you can trace from the field to your ESG report.

A Flight Toward Sustainable Aviation Future: Our Partnership with FlyGreen24

Dimarjan is proud to announce our new partnership with FlyGreen24, a pioneer in reducing and removing emissions by making sustainability more accessible, transparent, and simple to the general aviation sector.

Rather than simply "offsetting" emissions, our combined solution removes emissions through a system of verified, transparent, and traceable carbon debits generated by Dimarjan’s regenerative agroforestry systems.

Unlike conventional carbon credits, our carbon debits are issued only after carbon dioxide has been removed from the atmosphere. Every carbon debit is linked to real trees, real soil, and real impact, each traceable via blockchain and certified through the Global Carbon Standard.

FlyGreen24 clients can offset their flight emissions by choosing Dimarjan’s Project in Kixinge. Our project supports not only carbon dioxide removal (CDR), but also rural employment, job security, food security, biodiversity restoration, and climate resilience in the communities that actually generated the carbon sequestration in the first place, benefiting those who made the sequestration possible.

“I am proud to have found Adrianus and his project in Kixinge. We chose Dimarjan because they combine on-the-ground presence with cutting-edge technology integration, providing full traceability and transparency — two attributes that we stand for at FlyGreen24.”
Michael Franco, CEO, FlyGreen24 GmbH

This partnership is about more than climate math. It’s about reimagining what responsible aviation can look like in a warming world and demonstrating that connecting people and planetary care can fly together.

Offsetting your Emission with FlyGreen24 now means investing in a sustainable future, one rooted in transparency, trust, and transformation.

Dimarjan Partners with the Global Carbon Standard for the Kixinge Project

We are proud to announce a major step forward in our commitment to sustainability and community development through our latest partnership with the Global Carbon Standard (GCS). This collaboration plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our agroforestry efforts in Angola are fully verified, transparent, and impactful, building trust with stakeholders across the globe. Here’s a more detailed look at what this partnership means for the Kixinge project and beyond.

What is the Global Carbon Standard (GCS)?

The Global Carbon Standard is an internationally recognized framework for measuring, reporting, and verifying carbon reductions. As a standard certified by the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) and Earthood, GCS guarantees the credibility of our carbon offsets, ensuring the highest level of environmental and social integrity, making it a perfect fit for Dimarjan’s mission. This certification makes it possible for us to offer verified carbon offsets that meet stringent international requirements.

What This Partnership Means for the Kixinge Project

Certified Carbon Offsets

Every tree we plant in Kixinge will be rigorously monitored and tracked through the GCS certification process. The carbon sequestration benefits from these trees will be quantified, verified, and issued as certified carbon offsets. This ensures that each offset represents a genuine contribution to reducing atmospheric CO2, giving confidence to businesses and individuals looking to offset their carbon footprints.

Transparency Through Blockchain Technology

In partnership with our planting partner Carbify, Dimarjan leverages cutting-edge blockchain technology to add an extra layer of transparency to our operations. Blockchain ensures that every action—whether it's planting a tree, tracking its growth, or measuring carbon capture—is permanently recorded, traceable, and publicly accessible. This makes it easy for our supporters to verify the impact of their contributions in real-time.

Empowering Local Communities

The Kixinge project goes beyond carbon sequestration. Our agroforestry model is designed to generate significant social and economic benefits for the local communities in Angola. By partnering with GCS, we are not only contributing to global climate action but also empowering farmers through sustainable livelihoods, education, and agricultural training. Each tree planted helps to create jobs, improve food security, and contribute to long-term socio-economic development. The Kixinge project integrates agroforestry principles, meaning that in addition to sequestering carbon, the trees and crops contribute to food production and economic resilience in the region. Through this sustainable model, we are planting the seeds—quite literally—for a better, more secure future for the families in Kixinge.

High-Impact, Long-Term Solutions

Our partnership with GCS ensures that we are not just planting trees for the sake of immediate carbon offsets, but also creating lasting environmental and social impacts. This holistic approach addresses both ecological restoration and community development over the long term, making every contribution to the project an investment in a sustainable future.

Why Should You Get Involved?

By supporting Dimarjan’s Kixinge project, you’re not just offsetting your carbon emissions; you’re contributing to the regeneration of an entire ecosystem and improving the lives of people in rural Angola. Whether you're a company looking to balance your carbon footprint or an individual passionate about climate action, this project offers you a meaningful way to make a real difference.

We invite businesses, investors, and environmental advocates to explore how they can become part of this exciting journey by visiting the Kixinge Project Documentary Series page on our website.

Together with the Global Carbon Standard and Carbify, we’re creating real-world solutions that tackle climate change and build brighter futures for communities in need.

Dimarjan's UNECE Submission: Advancing Sustainable Development Goals in Angola

In May 2023, Dimarjan proudly presented its groundbreaking project at the UNECE Public-Private Partnerships for Sustainable Development Goals (PPPs for SDGs) platform. Focused on transformative agroforestry and community development initiatives, our submission highlighted the vital role of sustainable practices in creating local wealth, restoring degraded ecosystems, and addressing global climate challenges.

The Core of Our Work

Dimarjan operates across multiple communities in Angola, including Bengo, Ambriz, Kixinge, and Lubango. With over 2,000 hectares of land under development and a commitment to empowering more than 1,000 people, our approach integrates:

  • Agroforestry - Planting high-value fruit trees like mangoes to restore degraded land, sequester carbon, and enhance local food security.
  • Community Empowerment - Employing local labor, especially young men and women, and reinvesting revenues into critical infrastructure like schools and water systems.
  • Climate Action - Sequestering CO2 through afforestation and selling certified carbon reduction certificates to global markets.

Tangible Impact

Through our pilot project in Cahululo-Quicama, we have:

  • Planted 10 hectares of mango orchards, absorbing over 480,000 kg of CO2 annually.
  • Employed eight farmers, including two women, at fair wages.
  • Developed plans to scale operations to 10,000 hectares, with a potential annual CO2 sequestration of 685 million kg, positively impacting 10,000 people.

Partnerships Rooted in Community

At Dimarjan, we believe in a collaborative approach:

  • Understanding Local Needs: Engaging community elders, or "Sobas," to define goals and ensure alignment with cultural traditions.
  • Co-Creation: Working directly with locals to develop schools, roads, and water systems.
  • Empowering Through Employment: Providing sustainable jobs and fostering skill development to enhance long-term economic resilience.

How Dimarjan Advances the SDGs

SDG 1: No Poverty

Our work prioritizes economic empowerment in rural Angola. By employing local labor, offering fair wages, and creating long-term income opportunities, we address poverty head-on. Each agroforestry project integrates community participation, ensuring sustainable livelihoods and pathways out of poverty for marginalized groups.

SDG 2: Zero Hunger

Food security is a cornerstone of Dimarjan’s initiatives. Our agroforestry systems combine high-value fruit trees like mangoes with intercropped vegetables to create a diversified food supply for local communities. This approach not only improves dietary nutrition but also strengthens resilience against food scarcity caused by environmental shocks.

SDG 4: Quality Education

Dimarjan reinvests 10% of its revenue from carbon offsets into local community development projects, including education infrastructure. By building and enhancing schools, we ensure access to quality education for children, equipping them with skills for a brighter future. Education workshops on sustainable agriculture further empower community members.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

We create dignified employment opportunities, particularly for women and youth, offering competitive wages and training programs. With each project, we aim to scale local economic activity while ensuring that workers have the resources and skills to thrive.

SDG 13: Climate Action

Through large-scale tree planting, Dimarjan actively sequesters CO2 while restoring degraded ecosystems. Each tree we plant contributes to carbon offsets, which are transparently tracked using blockchain technology. This positions our efforts as a tangible and innovative response to global climate challenges.

SDG 15: Life on Land

Our agroforestry systems protect and enhance biodiversity by integrating native species and promoting sustainable land management practices. The preservation of Angola’s rich ecosystems is a priority, and we work to prevent soil degradation while restoring habitats for wildlife.

Looking Ahead

With UNECE’s recognition, we are poised to scale our model to new regions, tailoring our approach to meet specific community needs. Dimarjan is actively seeking partnerships with impact investors, philanthropic grants, and purpose-driven organizations to expand our reach and amplify our impact.

Field Stories

People Behind The Projects

Stories of how your involvement creates jobs,
supports families, and builds lasting futures.

Field story — Dimarjan agroforestry project in Angola

Marcelino Lucas

Religious pastor, community anchor

”I am a pastor. I know what it means to tend something with patience and faith, to plant without always seeing the harvest. This land is the same. I have always believed that if we care for it honestly, it will care for us. When Dimarjan came, they spoke that same language. We are building something here for my family, for this community, and for the generation that comes after us. That is a partnership I trust.”

Field story — community farmers in Dimarjan's carbon program

Albina Lucas

Wife of Marcelino

"My husband is the pastor, but I am the one in the field every day. I manage the farm, I run the household, I keep everything moving. Women like me are the engine of agriculture in Angola, we always have been. This partnership finally sees that. It gives us structure, knowledge, and a future for what we have always worked so hard to build."

Field story — agroforestry land restoration in Angola

Dona Faustina

Sister-in-law of Marcelino

"I have always known what I want from this land, to farm it better, to do it right. Not just to survive, but to grow something worth passing on. When I heard about this partnership with Dimarjan, I did not hesitate. I am a woman who knows what is fair and what is not. This is fair. This is the right way to develop our land, together, honestly, with respect for what the community has built."

Field story — local stewardship of Dimarjan's carbon removal project

Mário Capamba

Teacher turned full-time farmer

"I am a teacher. I spent years in a classroom. But I always believed that the real classroom is the field, where you learn from the soil, from the seasons, from failure and from harvest. I chose to dedicate myself to agriculture to provide for my family and to sell what this land can produce. When Dimarjan offered this partnership, I was moved. To be part of something this serious, this structured, I am very proud. And very grateful."

Field story — verified carbon sequestration in Angola

Avó Vitorina Napassa

Mother of Albina

"I am old. But I still come to the field. I still break the ground, I still plant the seeds, I still harvest and carry what is left to sell in the city. This land has fed me and my children and my grandchildren. Now they tell me people in Switzerland also care about this land. I am looking at this crystal and thinking, this earth we stand on matters to the whole world. That is something I want my grandchildren to know."

Field story — smallholder farmers in Dimarjan's agroforestry program

Avó Inácia

Sister of Avó Vitorina, also farms a small plot

"My sister Vitorina and I, we have worked side by side on this land for many years. We are old women, but we do not stop. We go to the city when we must, we come back and we plant again. This crystal reminds me that what we do here is not small. The world needs us to take care of this earth. We have always known that. Now, finally, the world knows it too."

Field story — regenerative agroforestry trees growing in Angola

Stanislau Lucas

Son of Marcelino, academic and teacher

"I am my father's son. I followed the path of education, I became a teacher, an academic. But I am also beginning to follow his path in the field. I see now that these two things are not separate. Knowledge belongs in the soil. The partnership with Dimarjan is proof of that, it brings technical thinking and community wisdom together. I am proud to be part of both worlds."

Field story — community impact from Dimarjan's carbon removal

Albina (Tia Rosa Nanguaia)

Cousin of Albina, trusted farm manager

"Dona Faustina trusts me to manage what she has built. That is not a small thing, it is a responsibility I take seriously every day. I have deep experience in the land. I know this soil. And when I see what is possible now with this partnership, I feel something I have not always felt: hope that has a plan behind it. That makes all the difference."

Josefina

Cousin and close friend of Stanislau, works the fields to sustain her family

"I work in the field because my family depends on it. That is the simple truth. I am dedicated to what I do, not because someone tells me to, but because this land feeds the people I love. Now this crystal connects our work here to something bigger. People far away chose to invest in communities like ours. I will not waste that."

Taleia

Niece of Stanislau, young farmer who loves her work in the fields

"I am young. And I love farming, I actually love it. That surprises some people. They expect young people to want to leave. But there is something about planting something with your own hands and watching it grow that nothing else can replace. With Dimarjan, I see that what I do here can also help the climate. That makes me want to do it even better."

Tio Enriques

Long-serving farmer with Marcelino

"I have worked on this land for a long time. I know every corner of it. I have seen good seasons and hard ones. What I know is this: the land rewards the people who stay with it, who don't give up on it. That is what I have done. And now there is a partnership that says, what you have been doing matters. The bananas behind me, the food on this plate, this is proof that the land gives back."

Domingos

Nephew of Marcelino, helps the family by working in the fields

"I am family. That is why I am here, to help, to contribute, to be part of what we are building together. Look at what is growing behind me: banana trees, maize, life. This land is alive because people work it with care. I hold this crystal and I think, someone saw us. Someone believes in what is happening here. That means everything."

Frequently Asked Questions

Carbon removal, explained clearly

Straight answers on our approach, verification, and how partnerships work.

What does Dimarjan do?

Dimarjan builds agroforestry projects in rural communities that remove carbon from the atmosphere, we restore degraded land and improve biodiversity, and we return real economic value to the people who live and work there.Every project is verified from soil to satellite, and 20% of our revenues go directly back into community infrastructure. We don't just plant trees and move on. We stay, we measure, and we share the results with our partners, our communities, and anyone who asks.

How is Dimarjan different from traditional tree-planting or offset projects?

Most tree-planting projects are designed around the carbon credits. Ours are designed around the rural communities. That means local farmers don't just provide labor, they own the land, help select the tree species, and share in the overall project returns. This means we don't sell offsets based on projections. Instead we verify what's actually happened on the ground before we make any claims. And it means when a project succeeds, the people who made it happen are the first to benefit. The carbon credit is the proof of that work, not the point of it.

What makes Dimarjan's carbon removal credible?

Three things.

  • First, we measure everything, including biomass accumulation and soil health,  through a combination of on-the-ground verification and satellite monitoring.
  • Second, we don't estimate or project. We report what has been removed, not what we hope will be.
  • Third, our projects are community-rooted, which means the people with the most to lose if something goes wrong are the ones most invested in making it work. This is our most reliable quality control mechanism.

Is Dimarjan aligned with EU standards?

Yes. Our projects are developed in alignment with the EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF) as well as the ICVCM Core Carbon Principles. Both standards set out the requirements for permanence, additionality, and monitoring that credible carbon removal must meet. We also align with leading voluntary market standards and ESG reporting frameworks, so whether you're reporting under CSRD, satisfying an auditor, or responding to investor scrutiny, our documentation is built to hold up. If you have specific compliance requirements, talk to us. We'll tell you exactly where we stand.

Can Dimarjan support ESG reporting and audits?

Yes and we've built our documentation with exactly that in mind. Every project comes with verified carbon removal certificates, satellite and field monitoring data, and a full community impact report. That means you're not just ticking a carbon box. You have a traceable, auditable impact story you can present to stakeholders with confidence. We can work with your sustainability team directly to make sure the right data lands in the right format for your reporting cycle.

How does a partnership typically start?

Usually with a conversation. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every partner comes with different commitments, timelines, and reporting needs. So we start by listening. From there we'll propose the right project scope, volume, and verification approach for your situation. Most partnerships move from first call to signed agreement within a few months. If you're ready to explore what that looks like for you, the best first step is booking a 30-minute call with our team. No pitch, no pressure, just an honest conversation about what your impact could look like.
